The transference of information is a process that happens every second of our lives, and yet, its fundamental importance is often overlooked. Information-transference is the reading and storing of data in a computer, talking to a friend, or cells copying their DNA when they divide; any time information is copied from one place to another. My work is not only a representation of this transfer but also an exploration into other ways we might copy information from place to place. I use origami, cyanotype, and both traditional and non-traditional drawing techniques to play with these ideas, rather than focusing on specific sets of information. My research is more about the many ways information can be obtained, manipulated, obfuscated, and ultimately revealed to an audience.
